Gore Wins the Norwegian Primary

To think that Gore is not pondering these questions today would be absurd.

Of course, the former vice president says, "The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity."

No doubt about that.

But Gore cannot feign ignorance of his own "political issue." When he appeared in San Francisco on the eve of Friday morning's announcement, at a fundraising event for California Senator Barbara Boxer, the man of the hour tried to deliver an earnest address about climate change. But when he concluded his remarks, the crowd burst into chants of "Run Al Run!"

That message echoed the full-page ad that was placed by the burgeoning "Draft Gore for President" movement in the front section of Wednesday's New York Times.

St Andrew's Day: The new battleground?

Now that we've established a conection may I point out that these "cyber warriors" made it possible.

Scotland, as a nation and a country, is in greater danger than it has ever been. An end game is being played out and if we lose we will be gone for good.

Scots have always been good at assimilation so we may, as individuals, survive and prosper. But what of the nation? We need, as a people, to have this conversation - without the distraction of .An English voice...\.

HMRC's Data Loss Not So Shocking, Users Believe

If criminals get their claws on your personal information they could make a significant impact on your bank balance and credit rating," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant for Sophos. One week ago, HMRC representatives, the British department responsible for tax collecting the United Kingdom, confirmed that information of about 25 million people was lost but there's no proof that it fell into criminal hands. However, they said the details were copied on two CDs in order to be sent to another department but the discs never reached the destination. "Governments need to work hard to reassure voters that they are taking all necessary measures to ensure data is always kept securely. This study shows that public feeling on this issue is strong, and that embarrassing and potentially dangerous incidents like the one last week only further damage the trust that people need to have in the guardians of their confidential data." .

Bizarre ricochet led to Posey death

I want to post my condolences to the family. I knew Nicole. We grew up together and were close. I know her whole family and they are good people. It's a terrible tragedy.

Wadesville is not a town of white trash. Please stop making the comment. I grew up in the country, lived in Poseyville, and have lived in a number of major cities. Every place I have been has good people and bad people. Wadesville is no different than any other place.

I do wish more people would comment on the good Nicole brought to this world rather than giving their thoughts on the case. It's more important at this time to remember her and console the family than to worry what will happen in court.

For those who wish to continue to listing their opinions. I went to law school in St.

TOO FAR: Players seek justice in Sean Taylor case

Police initially called it random.

It turns out that it was not random, as at least three of four of the intruders/killers (the Taylor 4) had some connection to the Pro Bowl cornerback.

Redskins' players Santana Moss and Clinton Portis were very outspoken last week that the murderers would be caught.

You see, they want justice. Who doesn't?

They want the killer(s) to get what they deserve -- a life sentence or the death penalty. For murderers, I've always preferred the death penalty rather than pay $20,000 per year to keep them alive.

It's obvious that only one person shot Taylor, but under Florida law, everyone involved in the crime can be charged with murder if someone dies.

The Taylor 4 -- all poor and black -- are all being charged with murder.

Each of the killers have had numerous brushes with the law and is anything but a model citizen.

SNP accused of broken promises as free prescriptions plan is unveiled

It's at it lowest level for 10 years...29% in the last poll.

SNP supporters just can't accept their succes is a result of MacConnell/Blair/Labour's unpopularity and Salmonds likeability.

And yes, I am a unionist along with 70% of my countrymen but that doesn't mean I defend my party when a newspaper points out their broken eleciton promises. And then there's the matter of 500 police officers...but we won't go into that.

Big bad # 21,

Just to show I don't always oppose the SNP, the abolition of prescription charges is not primarily to help the poor; it's to uphold the principles of the NHS which means that no-one, whether they be rich or poor, is penalised financially by illness.

And besides, there are other ways the poor can be helped.

Conservatives & Republicans

In an interview with obscure Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul on Sunday's "Face the Nation," host Bob Schieffer asked the Texas Congressman: "What is it that you see that the government ought to do besides deliver the mail?" This followed Schieffer's description of Paul's limited government philosophy:

Well, let me -- I want to just get your take on what you think the government ought to do. You've already said your anti-war. We know you're anti-abortion. You're anti-drug administration. You're anti-Medicare. I wrote all this down. Let's see. You're anti-income tax. You want to do away with that. You're anti-United Nations. You're anti-World Bank. You're anti-International Monetary Fund. And there must be some other things that you're against.

The Lost Requiem of Khosrow Sinai

Khosrow Sinai is one such individual. Author of "In the Alleys of Love", "The Inner Monster", and "Bride of Fire", Khosrow Sinai is internationally famous for over a hundred short films, documentaries and features. One of his works, "The Lost Requiem", has never been publicly released. Sidelined and ignored for over a quarter of a century, its content has been deemed too politically sensitive to be shown. Now, at last, its official obscurity is coming to an end, and the film is being hailed as a priceless Iranian and Polish Historical document. .
