BLP relaunches website

With election fever expected to intensify with the nomination of Deputy Prime Minister Mia Mottley in St. Michael North East, followed next week by that of Prime Minster Owen Arthur in St. Peter, the ruling Barbados Labour Party (BLP) has relaunched its website and promised a General Election campaign never before seen in Barbados whenever the bell is rung.

A woman I have never seen before Steps from the darkness of her town-house door At just that crux of time when she is made So beautiful that she or time must fade.

Fijian Affairs downgrading a surprise

It's his prerogative,'' Ratu Epeli told Fiji Times Online.

He was only informed about the decision on his ministry at the last Cabinet meeting.

The department of Indigenous Affairs, Provincial Development and Multi-Ethnic Affairs will now come under the office of the Prime Minister.

Several other ministries have been merged with others leaving several interim ministers without ministries.

These include the merge of the Ministry of Youth and Sport with the Industrial Relations and Employment ministry; the Ministry of Works has merged with Transport and Energy; the Tourism Ministry has joined forces with Trade, Industry and Communication; and Public Enterprise and Public Service Commission is now the responsibility of the Prime Minister's office.
